Red face GW support

Hi all,

I have played GW on and off, and I truly like the game better than GW2. I have been absent from the game for over a year. I know a lot has changed.

My question is, (I have all 3 games) if I get back to GW, will the support still be there? I mean like game updates, new challenges? I just don't want to get back into it, and find out that the game will not get anymore support.

Thanks - Prettygirll

Basically, they've abandoned it as it stands.

No more content, updates etc.

They've automated most of it now.
But it lives in its current state, and still has a healthy playerbase.

abandonned is kinda overdoing it

they said they wont give new content (whatever they see under that, cuz we just got new items, which people see as content)

but the population is pretty good, just find a nice and active guild

of course if GW really is important, it may happen they will add new stuff little by little, but i dont count on it, at least not the bigger stuff
i dont count on anything, but wont say its 100% true, as minds can change, and feeding GW a little bit once in a while shoukdnt be hard and would do nice

not trying to make a discussion about that, just how i see it

find nice guilds and friends in GW, and you'll be having lots of fun

then the forums (at least these) can be used to get help or just teamup
GWOnline was good, until they changed it into GW2Online, not by name, just by forum categories

so yea, have fun

ps. i'm one of the few who saw that GW2 isnt something for me even without buying, tried it twice for free, but its the same to me both times

anyway, enough life to find in GW even these days
seen people coming back from GW2, seen people coming to GW to see if its more fun than GW2, etc. hope isnt lost as long as people play GW

Anet said that once, that if people still play GW, they wont shut it down.... and i (and many others) arent planning on leaving anytime soon

the only thing is: its LESS active than years ago, thats all

Just try not to forget your password, as the procedure for obtaining a new one is an absolute shambles.

It's really great to come back after a while and see that the game is alive and healthy. Guess the GW players aren't quitters.

also (and hope its not too late) dont ever throw away your GW access key(s), NEVER (glad i didnt, cuz i did need help before)

i knew someone who did , and now he lost his account (thats cuz he gave his password to someone who pretended to be a GM, which is Game Master, but they dont ask for any info, in any MMO)

so also try not to give a fake GM your passwords or ANY info you have

in pre searing (the starter areas of prophecies) there are people who say they are GM's, but thats Gate Monkey, people who open the gate for others in exchange for money (most of the time its for money)

ArenaNet is still supporting the game if you submit a ticket and of you bought something off the online store just give them the last 4 digits of your CC if you can't get your keys to them.I did as mine are in storage from a move.
